Sonic Gestation

Lately I’ve been making playlist for creative projects.

I put the whole VIBE on there: theme, mood, relational conflict, locations, character preferences, everything that feels like what I want to create.

Then I press play (or shuffle play) and lie languid (as I must at times for health reasons) and let all that sonic mystic juiciness bathe my creative consciousness.

Also I have playlists now that speak to more the creative process more generally.

I put them on when I must rest, and also when I want to connect with a deeper, less verbal, more liminal creative space.
